Mahabaleshwar Tours & Tickets

Guided trips to the hill station, plus the best Western Ghats and city experiences on the way from Pune and Mumbai.

Mahabaleshwar itself has no ticketed headline attraction — the viewpoints, lake and temples are free or nearly free. What a tour gives you is transport over the ghats, a driver-guide who knows which point to see at which time of day, and the ability to cover Panchgani, Mapro Garden and Pratapgad without planning a route.

GetYourGuide’s Mahabaleshwar list is short, so we have grouped the best options by where you are starting: the two dedicated Mahabaleshwar day trips from Pune, the Pune city and fort tours worth adding before or after, and the Western Ghats day trips from Mumbai for when Mahabaleshwar is too far. Prices are indicative starting points; tap any card for the live price in your currency.

Booking questions

Frequently asked questions

Which Mahabaleshwar tour should I book?

If you want everything in one go — Panchgani, Mapro Garden, Arthur’s Seat, Venna Lake, the Panchganga temple and Pratapgad — book the private full-day Mahabaleshwar–Panchgani trip from Pune. If you prefer heritage and food, the Mahabaleshwar, Wai & Panchgani day trip adds the riverside temples of Wai.

Are there tours from Mumbai to Mahabaleshwar?

GetYourGuide does not currently list a dedicated Mumbai–Mahabaleshwar day trip — at 5–6 hours each way it is too far for one day. Most Mumbai travellers either go to Pune first and join a Pune tour, hire a private car for two or three days, or choose a closer Western Ghats day trip such as Lonavala or the Karla caves.

Is a day trip from Pune rushed?

A little: expect 10–12 hours with around six to seven on the road. You will see the headline sights but not sunrise or sunset. If you can, stay a night — see where to stay.

What is included in the price?

Typically an air-conditioned car and driver-guide with hotel pickup in Pune. Boat rides, food, parking and any local entry fees are usually extra — each listing spells out exactly what is included.

Can I cancel if my plans change?

Most listings offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start, and many let you reserve now and pay later. The exact terms are shown on each tour page before you confirm.
